iPhone 6S Plus will be equipped with QHD screen resolution
According to sources from China, iPhone 6S Plus will be equipped with screen resolution up to 2K in order to compete fairly with the high-end Android smartphone today.
Although iPhone sales are always very high, but it’s undeniable that Apple is slow in upgrading the hardware configuration for its products. However, it seems that everything will change with iPhone 6S Plus.
According to reports from Feng – a blog in China, Apple will upgrade the screen resolution on iPhone 6 and iPhone 6S Plus. Specifically, the iPhone 6S will be equipped with Full HD screen, while the iPhone 6S Plus will own the screen up to 2K and be equivalent to the current blockbusters such as Galaxy S6, LG G4 or Galaxy Note 4.
Upgrading screen resolution on the new iPhone is quite probable when recently, Apple has invested 1.7 billion US for JDI, the largest screen panel manufacturer in the world. JDI has also introduced the in-cell display panel with 2K resolution in recent times. Therefore, it’s likely that iPhone 6S and 6S Plus will use this screen technology.
Another source also confirmed that Apple would use Sony’s camera sensor with 12MP resolution for the new iPhone which will be released in September this year. The new sensor is expected to improve the ability to shoot in low light conditions. Just over three months, iPhone 6S will be launched, hopefully, Apple will bring drastic improvement for its products.
