How can we transfer photos from iPhone to PC? Perhaps, this is not a big question for those have mastered iOS, but for those who are really new to Apple devices, this is really a tough problem. Plus, they will find it hard to do on their own. So, that’s why we are here to help you out. For now, just take a look at how to transfer photos on iPhone to PC running Windows 10.

It’s worth noting that there are a host of methods to do this, and we will be covering the top 5 ones. We are doing this using iPhone running iOS 10, and Windows 10 without iTunes installed.

METHOD 1: USING WINDOWS’ PHOTOS APP

Using Windows’ built-in Photos app is considered the easiest way. The app lets users export iPhone photos to their Windows PC. Here’s how to do this:

Step 1: First, you will need to pair your iPhone with your Windows PC.

Step 2: Once paired, your iPhone will prompt Allow this device to access photos and videos?, just tap on Allow.

Step 3: Next up, on your Windows PC, open the Photos app.

Step 4: From here, click on the Import icon in the upper-right of the app window.

Step 5: Select the photos you would like to transfer. You can either select each one, or select all.

Step 6: Lastly, click on Continue. Your selected photos will now be transferred to your Windows PC.

METHOD 2: USING WINDOWS EXPLORER

Step 1: First, you will need to pair your iPhone with your Windows PC.

Step 2: Once paired, your iPhone will prompt Allow this device to access photos and videos?, just tap on Allow.

Step 3: Launch the Windows Explorer, and then head to This PC.

Step 4: Your iPhone should be mounted on your PC. Launch it, and go to the DCIM folder that contains your iPhone’s saved photos and videos.

Step 5: From here, copy and paste the photos that you would like to export into your Windows PC.

METHOD 3: USING ICLOUD PHOTOS

Your iPhone offers a useful feature called iCloud Photo Library with the ability to automatically sync and store your photos across all of your iOS devices. You can enable the feature by heading to Settings > Photos and Camera. From here, turn on iCloud Photo Library. Your photos should be synced to iCloud. Now, follow these steps:

Step 1: On your Windows PC, launch a browser window, and head over to iCloud.

Step 2: You are prompted to sign in with your Apple ID, and then head to Photos.

Step 3: All of your photos will be available on your web browser. Click on Select photos, and then select the photos you would like to import. You can also hit Ctrl to select multiple photos.

Step 4: Click on Download to download them to your PC. All the selected photos will now be exported into your PC.

METHOD 4: USING GOOGLE PHOTOS

Another quick way of transferring photos on your iPhone to Windows PC is using Google Photos.

Step 1: On your Windows PC, head over to Google Photos web app.

Step 2: From here, select the photos that you would like to download.

Step 3: Click on the three-dots in the upper right, and then select Download. All your selected photos will then be downloaded to your Windows PC.

METHOD 5: USING GOOGLE DRIVE OR DROPBOX

Besides the above-mentioned methods, you can use a cloud storage service such as Google Drive and Dropbox to transfer photos on your iPhone to your Windows PC. Particularly, you don’t need to have a PC running Windows 10. Here’s how to do this?

Step 1: First, you will need to download the Google Drive, or Dropbox app to your iPhone.

Step 2: On your PC, launch Google Drive, or Dropbox, and then sign in with your account.

Step 3: You will now be presented with your uploaded photos. Select the ones that you wish to download.

Step 4: Click on the three-dots in the upper right, and then select Download. All your selected photos will then be downloaded to your Windows PC.
