Netflix has recently given the option to download offline content via the Netlix app at no extra cost, so users can now watch TV shows and movies offline on their iPhone/iPad. For the time being, a number of popular content are available to download and more will be added in the near future. Note that, the new offline viewing feature on Netflix is currently only rolled out to users in the US and UK. To watch Netflix offline, the first and foremost thing you have to do is download your favorite TV shows or movies to later watch without an internet connection. Now, take a look at how to download TV shows or movies from Netflix for offline viewing
Before getting started, make sure that you have updated to the latest version of the Netflix app on your iPhone/iPad. To do this, head to the App Store > Updates, and simply tap on Update beside Netflix. Once done, do the following:
Step 1: Launch the Netflix app on your iPhone/iPad. When you first launch the app after updating Netflix, you should see an alert informing you of the new offline watching feature. You can tap on Find something to download or skip it. Alternatively, you can tap on the hamburger Menu button in the upper left corner, and then Available for Download.
Step 2: Now, just look for a show or movie you wish to download for offline viewing. Once you have found your favorite one, tap on it.
Step 3: You will now need to locate the download button, and then tap on it.
Step 4: Once your show or movie starts downloading, launch the main Menu again, and tap on My Downloads to bring up your list of downloads. You can watch your downloaded show or movie by tapping on it.
If you want to delete a download from your offline viewing list, you just need to swipe left on the download and tap on X to remove it. Alternatively, you can tap on Edit in the upper right corner, and then the X beside the download you wish to delete.
