Here’s how you can use widgets on iPhone and iPad

Widgets plays an indispensable role in your iPhone/iPad, as it offers you a quick way to view information and even perform small actions, thereby eliminating the need to launch an app.

The widgets are versatile and easy to use. They can be accessed from the Lock screen, the Home screen, or Notification Center. In this tutorial, we will show you how to use widgets on iPhone/iPad.

Steps to access your widgets

From your Lock screen and your Home screen, you just need to wake up your iPhone/iPad’s screen or unlock your device, and then swipe to the right to view your widgets.

From the Notification Center, you will need to swipe down from the top of your iPhone/iPad’s screen, and then swipe to the right to view your widgets.

Steps to use widgets

Step 1: First off, you are supposed to swipe to the right on your Home or Lock screen, or pull down Notification Center to access your widgets.

Step 2: Next, scroll down to locate the widget you would like to use.

Step 3: Tap the action you want to perform.

Steps to add widgets from the App Store

Along with stock options from Apple, you can add widgets from third-party developers by doing the following:

Step 1: The first thing you need to do is swipe to the right on your Home or Lock screen, or pull down Notification Center to access your widgets.

Step 2: Scroll down to the bottom of your widget list, and then tap Edit.

Step 3: You are now asked to scroll down to locate the widget you would like to add. Then, tap the green plus button.

Step 4: Lastly, tap Done.

If you are running on iOS 10, you can also add widgets in a faster manner.

Step 1: Locate the app whose widget you want to add on your Home screen.

Step 2: Press firmly on the app’s icon to enable its 3D Touch menu.

Step 3: Tap Add Widget.

Steps to rearrange widgets

Step 1: You need to swipe to the right on your Home or Lock screen, or pull down Notification Center to access your widgets.

Step 2: Scroll down to the bottom of your widget list, and then tap Edit.

Step 3: Now, tap and hold the three lines located next to the widget you want to rearrange.

Step 4: In the end, drag the widget up or down.

Steps to disable widgets

Step 1: First, you need to swipe to the right on your Home or Lock screen, or pull down Notification Center to access your widgets.

Step 2: Scroll down to the bottom of your widget list, and then tap Edit.

Step 3: Tap the red minus button.

Step 4: Finally, tap Remove.
