Apple has just rolled out iOS 10.3 beta 4 to developers. If you have installed iOS 10 beta, just go to Settings > General > Software Updates and download away. If you have been waiting for beta 4 to join iOS 10.3 beta, read on to get to know how you can download and install it on your iPhone/iPad.
Before diving in, it’s worth noting that this update will move your device’s file system over to the Apple File System, so it’s difficult to downgrade.
Steps to make an archived backup of your iPhone or iPad
Whenever you make significant change to your device, it’s highly recommended to back up your peronal data.
Step 1: Firs off, you are supposed to pair your iPhone/iPad with your Mac or Windows PC.
Step 2: Next, fire up iTunes.
Step 3: Click the device icon next to the media selector.
Step 4: You need to make sure backup is set to This Computer and enable Encrypted backup.
Step 5: Click Back Up Now. If you want the security, click Encrypt Backup and add a password.
Step 6: Click Back up Apps if required.
Step 7: Hit Command to open Preferences.
Step 8: Choose the Devices tab, then option-click on your Backup and choose Archive.
Steps to register your account for the iOS 10.3 beta
Before you do anything else, you will need to have a developer account with Apple.
Step 1: First, navigate to developer.apple.com.
Step 2: Click the Download New Betas tab.
Step 3: You need to sign in with your developer account’s username and password.
Step 4: Head to the iOS 10.3 beta section and tap the down arrow to expand downloads.
Step 5: Click the Download button beside Configuration Profile.
Step 6: Choose iPhone when it asks which device you wish to use.
Step 7: The Beta software profile should show up on your phone. Just tap Install. You may need to enter your Password.
Step 8: You are now asked to agree to the Consent form and hit Install once in the top right corner, and once at the bottom of the screen.
Step 9: In the end, hit Restart to apply changes to your iPhone.
Steps to install the iOS 10.3 beta
Step 1: First, fire up the Settings app.
Step 2: Tap General > Software Update > Download and Install.
Step 3: Type in your Passcode.
Step 4: You now need to tap Agree to the Terms and Conditions, and then tap Agree again to confirm.
Your iPhone/iPad will restart to install iOS 10.3, just wait for the process to finish.
Steps to get started with iOS 10.3 beta
Step 1: Tap Continue.
Step 2: Type in your Apple ID password and iCloud settings will update.
Step 3: Lastly, tap Get Started.
