When it comes to sharing a song from Apple Music, you would probably think of sharing it via Messages or Mail. Not many iOS users know that they can easily share a song by using Airdrop between iPhones if they and the one that they wish share the song with are in the same room or building. All you have to do is to keep Bluetooth and Wi-Fi on, and of course, have Airdrop turned on in Control Center on your iPhones. In this tutorial, we will show you how to AirDrop a song from Apple Music. Let’s take a look.
Before diving in, there are some points to note:
- You can only use Airdrop if someone is near you. So, you are better off using Messages or Mail to share the song with others in case of the distance.
- You and the one you wish to share the song with are connected to Wi-Fi.
Steps to Airdrop a song from Apple Music
Step 1: First off, you will need to access Control Center by swiping up from Home screen.
Step 2: Here, tap Airdrop and choose either Contacts Only or Everyone from the menu that pops up. This will turn on Airdrop. Keep in mind that both the sending and receiving iPhone need to turn on Airdrop.
Step 3: Now, navigate to the Music app, and locate the song you wish to Airdrop.
Step 4: Tap the three dots located at right-bottom side of your screen to bring up five options. Just choose Share Song.
Step 5: Under Tap to share with Airdrop, locate the person you want to share the song with, and then tap their name.
Step 6: On their iPhone, it will notify them that you would like to share music with them. To hear the song you have sent, they simply tap Accept.
