There may come a time when you need to change your current Twitter name to something new. Thankfully, Twitter does allow you to change your Twitter username. This tutorial will walk you through the steps to do that. Take a look.

Steps to change your Twitter username from the app
Step 1: First, you are supposed to fire up the Twitter app on your iOS device.
Step 2: Once you are in, tap the Me tab located at the bottom of the app.
Step 3: Tap the Settings button to the right of your profile.
Step 4: Tap the Settings option in the menu that pops up.
Step 5: Tap the Account option from the menu list.
Step 6: Tap the Username cell.
Step 7: You will be asked to tap inside the New text box and enter a new username that you would like to have.
Step 8: Tap the Done button in the upper right corner of the app to commit your changes.
Step 9: In the end, tap the Done button in the upper right corner of the app again to close the settings.
Steps to change your Twitter username from the website
Step 1: Starting off, point your web browser to twitter.com and then sign in.
Step 2: Once you are in, tap the Profile button in the upper right of the page.
Step 3: Choose Settings and Privacy from the drop-down menu.
Step 4: Beneath the Account section, enter a new username to the Username text box.
Step 5: Scroll down a bit and click Save changes.
Step 6: You are now prompted to enter your password to verify your identity. Once done, click Save changes.
Step 8: Lastly, Twitter will show you that your changes have been saved.
