Use Transcriber App For Android
If you are using an Android phone running from Android 5.0 Lollipop, let’s start with downloading and installing the Transcriber APK app for WhatsApp on your Android device.
Once done, open the app and swipe to the welcome card screen. After that, tap on ‘Done’ button at the bottom right corner of the screen to continue the process.
After setting up Transcriber is completely done, you need to launch the WhatsApp Chat. The chat requires including the WhatsApp voice message so that you can convert into text. Now, you tap and hold the WhatsApp voice message to select the audio. After that, tap the share icon at the top of the screen and then select the ‘Transcriber’ option in the the list.
That’s all you need to do. The Transcriber is now going to do its work and it will then convert WhatsApp voice messages to text on your app.
However, one thing you should keep in mind that at the time of writing, Transcriber only supports: English, Italian, German, Spanish, French, Russian and Portuguese launguages.
iOS – Use Audio to Text for WhatsApp App
If you are using an iOS device, you should download the ‘Audio to Text for WhatsApp’ app from the App Store and then install it on your iPhone.
Once done, open the app, and it will ask you for the permission. Remember to allow it for accessing the speech recognition. Installing this app will allow you to convert WhatsApp messages to text message on your iPhone.
After granting the permission, simply open your WhatsApp chat conversation including the audio message you want to convert. Next, tap and hold the voice message to convert it and choose the ‘Forward’ option. Once done, you simply tap on the ‘Share’ icon at the bottom right of your screen.
Now, there will have different options appearing on the display, you just select the ‘Audio to Text’ option. The app will now automatically convert the chosen audio file to text.
