We are sure that when putting the smartphone on the adapter, many of you feel it difficult to wait for your phone to fully juice up. You want to find some useful tips to enable the iOS device to charge faster. We have tested several ways to breeze through the charging process. So, here is how you use these tips.
How to Speed up Charging Process
If you are using the latest iPhone models like iPhone X, iPhone 8/8 Plus, you can get the fast charging technology to charge your device up to 50% just in 30 minutes. However, it requires a USB-C to Lightning cable and supports adapters such as Apple 30W, 61W, or 87W USB-C Power Adapter.
How about older models? You can still speed up the charging process just by following these smart tricks.
Disable Power Hungry Features
One of the most useful tricks to speed up charging process on your iOS device is to disable the power hungry features. “Location Services” and “Background App Refresh” are two features that drain the battery the most. So, you’d better disable them when charging your phone.
On your iPhone, go to Settings → Privacy → Location Services and toggle the switch next to Location Services to off. Do the same with Background App Refresh from Settings > General.
Another simple trick that is handy in helping the iPhone charge quicker is turning Wi-Fi or cellular off. The alerts from apps and services that you have subscribed might usually ping your iPhone. So, if it’s not important, you’d better turn it off.
Open Settings app → Wi-Fi and turn the switch off. DO the same with Cellular Data section.
Force Quit All Apps before Charging
You should not let apps keep running in the background. So, force quit them before charging your iPhone. Give it a try and you will see the difference. It will cut down on the extra time for charging.
Use Certified Chargers and Cables
When coming to charging; you should consider the MFi certified chargers and cable. That’s because the certified cable will be able to deliver fast and better secure charging. So, you should pay a bit extra for a useful charging solution.
Use a wall charger
Do you know that your iPad USB power adapter can also be used to charge your iPhone faster?
Compared to 5-volt charger of iPhone which uses 1 amp for 5 watts of power, iPad’s charger has 5.1 volts, 2.1 amps of power. If you have an iPad, you should take advantage of its superior charger to charge your device more rapidly.

Keep the Lightning Port Clean
You should also clean the Lightning port often. Sometimes, dust can prevent your device from charging and you may repeatedly see “Accessory may not be supported” message even when the cable is certificated.
Charge Your iPhone in Normal Temperature
You should not expose your iPhone to the cold or hot environment. The ideal ambient temperature for charging is from 0º and 35º C. In the low or high-temperature conditions, the battery will be affected, so your phone cannot charge quickly.
That’s pretty much it!
