The idea behind jPint is to create a set of libraries that allows web developers to build sites that look and feel as much like native iPhone apps as possible.
jPint renders in Safari and Firefox as a regular web page, making it easier to build and test. The current version (0.7) is the first public release. It looks like development has stopped since the site mentions they were supposed to release v1.0 in 2008. Still, it’s a cool little proof of concept that may come in handy to some folks.
