It’s no secret that Apple is known for keeping tight control over the look and feel of iOS, which makes it much more difficult for you to customize the appearance of your iPhone. Don’t worry, though. There are still some tricks with ability to take control back into your own hands. In this post, we will be showing you a clever trick that is capable of changing the colors of the dock and folders on your iPhone’s home screen from gray to black. And the best part is that you don’t have to jailbreak your device. Here’s how you can do it:
Step 1: First and foremost, you will need to head over to this Weebly site from your iPhone.
Step 2: Once you are on the page, scroll down until you are presented with a series of 52 squares all in different colors. Now, just select 1 pixel high wallpaper in your favorite color.
Step 3: Once you have selected, deeply press the square, and then tap Save Image to download it onto your Camera Roll. All you need to do is set the image you just downloaded as your wallpaper.
Step 4: Launch the Photos app on your iPhone and locate the saved wallpaper.
Step 5: Tap on the Share icon at the bottom left, and then select Use as Wallpaper.
Step 6: Select Set Home Screen. You can also select Set Both if you want it on your lock screen.
Step 7: Return to your home screen to check out the new look. You should notice that the dock and folders have turned black or very dark.
It’s worth noting that iOS widgets are quite hard to read, as the text also turns black. If you don’t like the color, you simply repeat the process and select a new one.
That’s it. Do you have any questions and concerns about how to get a black dock and folders on your iPhone’s home screen? Put them in the comments and we’ll help you out.
