By default, the iOS Messages displays assigned contact photos alongside each message thread, which upsets a number of users. But thankfully, Apple gives you an option to hide them with ease. This will clean up the Messages interface a bit and at the same time keep your iMessage chats and contact cards more private. Plus, removing contacts photos will offer you more screen real estate devoted to the messages so that you will be able to see more of each message in the list. And in this post, we would like to show you how to hide contact photos in Messages on iPhone. Have a look.
Before getting started, make sure that your iPhone is running on iOS 9 or later so that you will be able to hide, and even display the contact photos in iMessages in iOS.
Now, just do the following:
Step 1: Launch the Settings app on your iPhone, and then navigate to Messages.
Step 2: Find the Show Contact Photos switch and simply flip it to the OFF position.
Step 3: Now, get back to the Messages app, and you won’t see any contact photos appear alongside each message thread.
If you wish to enable and see the contacts photos, just repeat the same steps, and flip the switch for Show Contact Photos to the ON position.
Note that before you taking these steps, you will have to leave the Messages app in iOS if you haven’t done so yet.
