If you’d like to have a better secure and private way of sharing photos, this feature is the one you need. If you haven’t started as yet, here is how to set up iCloud Photo Sharing across your devices.

How to Enable iCloud Photo Sharing on iPhone, iPad, Mac, or Windows PC

What are the requirements in order to use iCloud Photo Sharing feature? Well, since it uses the iCloud account, so you and shared people that you want to invite need to get it available. Apple currently offers only 5GB of free storage for each iCloud account. If your file exceeds the basic offering size, then you need to upgrade the plan.

With iOS 12 and macOS Mojave versions, Apple allows you to share your photo album even with those who even don’t have an iCloud account. Furthermore, you can even share specific photos with the expiring link for anyone from your iPhone, running iOS 12 beta version. However, keep in mind that these new methods offer different privacy levels.

Make Sure:

  • Make sure that you have iCloud enabled on all of your devices.
  • Ensure all of your devices are connected to the same iCloud account.
  • If you are using Windows, make sure your PC is running on Windows 7 or later. Moreover, you should also have downloaded iCloud for Windows if you want to enable this feature on your Windows PC.
How to Get Into iCloud Photo Sharing on iPhone and iPad

Step 1: Open the Settings app on your iPhone/iPad.

Step 2: Next, tap on Photos option

Step 3: Toggle the switch next to iCloud Photo Sharing to on

Note: In iOS 12 version, you will have to toggle on the switch next to Shared Albums. Settings → Photos → Shared Albums.

That’s all you need! You have now turned this feature on your iOS device.

If you ever wanted to turn it off, just follow the same steps above and then toggle off the switch in the end.

How to Set Up iCloud Photo Sharing on your Mac

Step 1: Launch Photos app on your Mac.

Step 2: Next, choose Photos in the left corner and select Preferences from the drop-down menu window.

Step 3: Now, click on iCloud tab.

Step 4: What you need to do now is checking the box of iCloud Photo Sharing.

Note: In macOS Mojave version, you will have to check the box of Shared Albums.

How to Enable iCloud Photo Sharing on Windows PC

To turn on iCloud Photo Sharing on Windows, just follow the below steps:
