How to Download Facebook Videos to iPhone/iPad

You are surfing Facebook and you come across a funny video that you want to save on your iPhone/iPad. However, Facebook does not give an option to download & save videos to your iPhone/iPad so that you can watch it offline and share it with other apps.

Although there is a restriction, you can still manage to save videos from Facebook directly to your iPhone/iPad. So in this post, we’ll share with you two different methods to help you download videos from Facebook. So let’s get started.

Method 1: Use an Online Facebook Downloader

Currently, there are still video downloaders that allow downloading videos from Facebook. One of them is Facebook Downloader which lets you easily download videos from Facebook. However, you will need a browser that supports file downloads, like DManager. To do so

Step 1: You need to download DManager app from the App Store. If you don’t see it, click on this link to see the app in the App Store.

Step 2: If you get the link of your favorite video that you want to download, you can skip. Otherwise, launch the Facebook app and head to a video that you want to download. Tap on the Share button and then tap on Copy Link.

Step 3: Launch the DManager app and type in from the URL bar.

Step 4: Once the website has loaded, paste the link into the search box, and choose Download button.

Step 5: After the download is generated, there will be a table on the screen containing all video resolutions as well as its download link. Tap on a download button, and select Download in the pop-up menu.

Step 6: The app will now start downloading the video. You can see its progress by moving to Downloads tab. When the video has successfully been downloaded, simply swipe it to the right and select Action > Open In. In the Share Sheet, choose Save Video and your video is now in your iPhone’s Camera Roll.

Method 2: Download and Install Facebook++

Although Facebook++ is not an official app, it comes with a number of new features to Facebook, and one of them supports downloading videos. You can easily sideload this app through Cydia Impactor and then use it on your iOS device. However, you need to first remove the original Facebook app on your device before installing Facebook++, otherwise, there will be an error with the installation.

Step 1: Download the Facebook++ IPA from here. Moreover, you need also to download Cydia Impactor for Mac, Windows, or Linux.

Step 2: Once done, connect your iPhone to the computer, then launch Cydia Impactor.

Step 3: Now, drag and drop the Facebook++ ipa file into Cydia Impactor window.

Step 4: You’ll be prompted to enter your Apple ID as well as password. It’s sent to Apple for generating a signing certificate.

Step 5: Cydia Impactor will start installing Facebook++ onto your iPhone/iPad. Wait for the process to complete and you should see Facebook’s icon on the Home screen. But don’t open it yet, go to Settings > General > Profiles (or ‘Power & Device Management’).

Step 6: Launch the profile that is labeled with your Apple ID, and tap on Trust button.

Step 7: Next, return to Home screen, open Facebook++ app and select video that you want to download. You will then view the Save button to download the video to your Camera Roll.
